Xbox Live in Competition With Google TV for Access to Your Home By Edwin Markson

Microsft has now decided to compete neck to neck with Google TV in getting access to your living rooms. Reports say that the software company has approached certain media companies for allowing network access for online TV subscription through its various devices like Xbox video game console. Microsoft has to go a long way to come to the levels with Google TV, and for this it has prepared two plans of providing TV, sports and movies to you in your home through Xbox Live and Windows Media Center.
Now we can watch Netflix movies and sports through Xbox console and Microsoft webhosting. This accounts enables us to access 3000+ live Espn sports events in an year and also instant connection to HD movies and TV shows. Not only this, your Xbox remote control and on-screen user interface for accessing Facebook, and Twitter too besides Netflix online programming. One can access all the above discussed services through Window's Media Center PC adding an application like TiVo, which was appreciated by most of its users, and also got praises at Intel's Developer Forum in San Francisco. To handle such an enormous amount of data, both companies will need some solid data center hosting support and clearly not cheap hosting. Microsoft is trying hard to get reputed programming partners in his camp to get equal with Google TV.
The unstoppable grapple has more to do with content than hardware, and this is no secret that Microsoft's Xbox Live and Windows Media Center have more potential than its counterpart Google TV. But, Microsoft also acknowledges the fact that Google is not an easy competitor and they need to keep putting their best foot forward in order to get their prominence in homes.
Though Microsoft didn't give any reaction on this, but the senior director of public relations of Microsoft's interactive entertainment business, Mr. Jose Pinero made it clear that Microsoft is not taking this project lightly. He commented that the software giant is aiming to deliver high quality experience combining with their specific software. We expect only the best from Microsoft, as they know how to care for their customer's requirements.
I'm 19 and from Devon, England. I like computers, surfing, music, and television though I'm not quite sure what to do with my life. I finished college last year, read every day and spend too much time on the internet. I usually write reviews and think-pieces about IT, webhosting, tech, gadgets Google and whatever else strikes my fancy.
